ABOUT US
Albert Einstein Academies (AEA) is comprised of three high-performing public charter schools located near downtown San Diego, CA:

- Albert Einstein Academy Charter Middle School (AEACMS, grades 6-8)
- Albert Einstein Academy Charter High School (AEACHS, grades 9-12, opening fall 2027)
We are proud to offer the world-renowned International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum to all students. As free public charter schools we never charge tuition of any kind. The motto that distills our mission and vision is “Teaching our children today to advance our shared humanity tomorrow.”
International Baccalaureate Curriculum
AEA provides the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (IB PYP) and Middle Years Programme (IB MYP); Diploma Programme (IB DP) coming Fall 2026.
The IB is a world-wide framework that allow students ownership of their learning within a rigorous curriculum.
Our goal is to develop internationally minded students who strive towards the ten attributes known as the IB Learner Profiles.
German/English Dual Immersion Program
In Elementary grade levels (kindergarten through fifth grade) students receive 50% of instruction in German and 50% in English, including all core subjects.
German and English instruction rotates weekly and is continuous. In this model an academically challenging learning environment is provided which brings children of two different language groups together to learn from and with each other in an integrated setting.
Middle School grade levels (sixth through eighth) have opportunities to take German or Spanish language classes.
