Yesterday afternoon we released a donation link for the newly-established AEA COVID-19 Relief Fund. The fund’s purpose is to support AEA families with essential items during this extraordinary pandemic. The response from AEA staff, community and greater society was immediate and extremely heartwarming! As of this writing we have exceeded $5,300 in donations from over 40 individual donors! I wish to express my sincere gratitude to all who donated in any amount, and also to those who shared the link with others. We have already placed orders for essential hygiene supplies using these funds, and will be assembling hygiene bags for distribution as soon as orders arrive. I will update the community with the status of this process including photos as soon as I can.

The Principals and I continued work today on the AEA Distance Learning Plan, with input from our various team leaders. Our goal is to release the plan before Monday, April 13. I will post the plan on my blog as well.
Our food and technology distribution proceeded as planned today; as always thanks to staff for volunteering to support this initiative.
