We continued the free food and technology distribution efforts today on the AEACMS campus. We are also providing technical support and replacement of laptops if needed, with the goal of all AEA students having access to our distance learning program.
As mentioned previously, our administrative team is in the midst of budget planning for the 2020-2021 academic year. The AEA finance committee will review a number of scenarios and will introduce important budget discussions at the May 12 AEA Board of Trustees meeting. Given the shifting and severe economic realities in our State, we must plan accordingly in order to protect and advance the AEA mission and vision on behalf of all students and maintain the organization on solid financial ground into the future.
On May 2 San Diego City Councilmember Vivian Moreno helped our volunteers distribute food as part of the AEA Covid-19 Relief Fund efforts. She followed up her visit by recording a video for our students and staff, thanking everyone for their efforts on behalf of the community.
