AEA School Site Council Nominations 2024 – 2025:
Hello AEA community,
Elections for the 2024-2025 AEA School Site Council will take place in the next few weeks between August 12th – September 17th. The SSC is a group of teachers, school personnel, parents/family and community members who work together as a decision-making body to provide oversight on matters dealing with Federal and State-funded programs, in order to meet the needs of all students. We encourage all members of our AEA community to consider running for a seat on the Council and to vote in the election.
If you are considering becoming a member of the SSC, please reach out to Sarah Wigdor-Roberts (swigdor@hotmail.com) by August 23rd so that you can get a better idea of what we do and know what will be expected of you. Please note, if you are elected, there is a required training for all new members on Tuesday, Sept 24 at 5:00pm
2024/2025 Election Process Timeline
- AUG 12-23 Submit Intent to run via Google Form with bio/paragraph in your home language
- SEP 3 – 17 Cast vote via Survey Monkey
- SEP 18 Results announce to the winners via email
- SEP 24- 1st SSC meeting at 5:00pm-6:00pm at the Elementary School in Rm B23
The following positions are currently open:
(5) Parent/Family/Community members
(3) Teacher members
(1) Staff member (classified OR certificated with no assigned student roster)
Length of term: One – Two (1-2) years
The AEA SSC serves both AEACES and AEACMS.
Candidates will have their names included on a ballot that will be sent to the entire AEA community for a vote.

- 5 Parent, Family or community members
- 3 Teacher, 1 AEA Staff
- Written statement in any language explaining why you would like to be part of the SSC and what you will contribute.
- Exemplar will be provided.

Results will be communicated by 23/24 SSC Chair via email on SEPTEMBER 6

Nominaciones para el Consejo Escolar de AEA 2024 – 2025:
- 12-23 agosto Presentar la intención de postularse a través del formulario de Google con una biografía o un párrafo en su lengua materna.
- Septiembre 3 – 17 Emitir voto a través de Survey Monkey
- Septiembre 18 Anuncio de los resultados a los ganadores por correo electrónico
- Septiembre 24- 1ª reunión del SSC de las 5:00pm-6:00pm en la Escuela Primaria en el Salón B23
Actualmente están vacantes los siguientes puestos:

(3) Maestros
(1) Miembro del personal (clasificado O certificado sin lista de alumnos asignados)
Duración del mandato: Uno – Dos (1-2) años
El SSC de AEA sirve tanto a AEACES como a AEACMS.
Los nombres de los candidatos se incluirán en una papeleta que se enviará a toda la
comunidad de AEA para su votación.
