Uniform Complaint Procedures (UCP)
Albert Einstein Academies (AEA) is committed to ensuring a safe, equitable, and inclusive learning environment for all students. In accordance with state and federal laws, AEA has established Uniform Complaint Policy and Procedures (UCP) within the AEA Comprehensive Complaint Policy to address concerns related to specific programs and activities.
This notice provides important information about your rights and responsibilities under the UCP.
What is Covered Under the UCP?
The UCP covers complaints concerning the following programs and legal violations:

Discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or bullying based on actual or perceived characteristics (including race, ethnicity, nationality, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or immigration status)

Pupil fees and the right to a free public education

Educational program complaints, including:

Adult Education

After School Education and Safety (ASES)

Career Technical Education

Child Care and Development

Consolidated Categorical Aid

Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) programs

Foster and Homeless Youth Services

Local Control Accountability Plans (LCAP)

Retaliation for filing a UCP complaint
How to File a Complaint
Anyone—including students, parents/guardians, employees, or community members—may file a UCP complaint.

Complaints must be in writing.

A complaint should be submitted within one year of the alleged violation.
-
Complaints related to discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or bullying must be filed within six months of the alleged conduct or knowledge thereof.
